Lenten Series “40 Days in the Word”
A Rick Warren Study Starting Feb. 21st – March 27th Tuesday evenings.

7:00pm Group Studies
Each week we will be breaking up into the same small groups for study time. The study is an inspiration to learn to Love the Word, Learn the Word, and to Live the Word. As Rick Warren says, “40 Days in the Word is a journey of eternal significance, as you and your church learn how to be not only "hearers"  of the Word, but also "doers" of Gods Word.”

The six Tuesday evenings of fellowship and study will help us to better understand God's Word and especially the weeks of Lent and the Passion story that will be upon us. Sign-up sheet will be posted and there will be a small cost.

Mom’s Night Out!
Beginning this month, we will be having a pot luck dinner on the second and fourth Monday of every month for Mom's and their children beginning at 6:30 p.m. It's a chance for Mom's to share fellowship and a meal that is especially welcome during these long winter days. Come, bring a dish to share, and enjoy each others company. You may contact Rae Marie Davis if any questions at 253-7862.

Family Game Night
MUMC is providing a night of family fun on the second Saturday night of the month in January and February! A great opportunity to bring your friends – young and old (and in between) to church!

Bring your favorite wholesome board game and we are looking for someone to bring a Wii and any other group electronic games for the kids but I am sure they will play lots of board games too! I will personally challenge anyone to a game of Sorry! Hot Chocolate, popcorn, ice cream will be served.

Spirit Ride ~ Wednesday- February 8th
We will be going to the Connor House Inn in Sandwich, N.H. for a Fashion Show. We will be leaving the Church at 5:45 pm and the cost of tickets is $15.00 for refreshments and show. Please call me or the Church office for tickets by Friday Feb. 3rd.

Red Hats ~ Thursday - February 16th
Our Red Hat group will be going to see the Play "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Weirs Playhouse on Thursday, Feb. 16th. We will have a pot luck supper at Rae's house on 31 Red Hill Road at 4:30pm and then leave for the play afterward. I need to know about tickets by Friday , Feb. 3rd. Give me a call and I will order the tick-ets and you can pay me later. Thanks.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Our January meeting was attended by Pastor Paul. Do you know he can knit? He will be taking two shawls on visits with him this month. Our cabinet is full! Thank you to you that knit at home for our project.
Please feel free to take a shawl to anyone you know who needs some TLC.

Bible Reading Forum
What a great adventure we are embarking on if we have committed to read our Bible through this year! We are starting an email Bible Forum which is nothing more than an email group that shares comments, questions, and thoughts concerning what we are reading. It‟s thrilling to open up to new discoveries, make connections and find answers to life‟s deepest ques-tions. It‟s uplifting and consoling to put God‟s Word as a healing balm to our life‟s challenges. Come and join us. Send an email to paul@moultonboroumc.org and join our growing email list.
You do not have to read any special readings or be on any special time table but we are offer-ing a reading guide designed by the American Bible Society which will just help you record what you are reading. Ask Pastor Paul for a copy.

“Walk to Emmaus” (adult ages) and Chrysalis Flights! (teens – early 20’s)
Here is the up coming schedule for Walks and Flights:
Men’s Walk: April 19 – 22nd
Women’s Walk: April 26 – 29th
Both Walks are at the Spiritual Retreat Center at Notre Dame in Alfred Maine.
As of this printing there is space for one on the Men's walk and two openings for the Women's Walk. Applications must be in NO LATER than February 1st 2012.

Fellowship Hour
Volunteers are needed to provide refreshments for our morning fellowship hour after the 10:00 a.m. service.  Please consider volunteering for a Sunday or two. The sign up sheet is located in the fellowship hall in front of the small kitchen.
