Youth Fellowship Junior and Senior High Youth |

September is just about here and with that the end of the summer season and the beginning of yet another new and exciting academic and Sunday school calendar year. I’m looking forward to what this year has in store. I’m also excited for what the Holy Spirit will be doing in the lives of our congregation and the youth within it. I have thought and prayed on the idea that many of those students involved in the Senior High Youth Group are quickly approaching the ability and maturity that it takes to take on different leadership type roles within the church. This is an important part of a young Christian’s journey, but I feel that our church and the students within it are ready for these responsibilities.
I am looking for HELP. I am looking for a team of adults who might have felt the call to work with those students who participate in the middle school youth group. If you haven’t heard, we have a very large and active middle school youth group. These youngsters have a lot of energy but are in dire need of people who are willing to get to know them and show them what its like to live with Christ. The leaders that I am looking for will need to be positive role models that are generally invested in building relationships with these middle school students. I will continue to do all the planning, contacting, organizing and anything else that is needed, but am only one person so I am in desperate need of YOUR help. With this in mind, if you are at all interested in helping out, please give me (Shawn) a call at 244-6585.
Youth Group will kick off on Sunday, September 12. This will be a quick get together where the youth will discuss possible meeting times and hear about the many upcoming events that have already been planned for this Fall. This Youth Group KICK OFF will begin right at the conclusion of the 10am Sunday morning service at approximately 11am. Please, come to church and celebrate the beginning of a new year afterwards. This will also be kept short because this years annual church picnic will be taking part at GENEVA POINT soon there after.
