Junior and Senior High Youth

Youth Group Happenings February 2012
The Middle School and High School Youth groups continue to meet regularly. Middle School youth group continues to meet at the church on Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:30. Nathan Spinale and Jacob Whitman (new interns this year) have been very helpful by doing the things needed to help ensure that we have the right combination of leadership to youth ratios. Senior High continues to meet at my house on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30. We have been hit hard by the winter sports schedule but continue to meet and work with the attendance that we have. We have discussed a variety of subjects and continue to grow in our knowledge and faith. I have been impressed with these students ability to pray out loud and their willingness to discuss their problems and struggles in a group setting.

The youth band has started to play regularly at the 10 o'clock service. The addition of Pam Abbott to the team has been very beneficial. Her added input and ability to work with the singers has helped the band substantially. We continue to work on the bands ability to help lead worship in a way that is both professional but also worshipful. The band is presently trying to come up with a plan. We are trying to figure out what the proper equipment is that we need so that we can hear each other and get over some of the technical difficulties that we have run into. In the mean time we‟ll continue to play for as long as we are allowed.

In March the Youth groups will be traveling to Berea for a winter camp. The weekend will be filled with music, fun, nationally known inspirational speakers and fellowship with each other as well as other youth groups from all over New England. If anyone would feel so inclined to donate to a badly needed scholarship fund please contact me, Shawn Haskins 244-6585. Our youth has stepped up in so many ways that I always feel bad to turn kids away due to financial struggles.

Youth To Work
Please contact Shawn Haskins (Youth Pastor) at 244-6585 with the task that needs to be accomplished and the address at which it needs to get done. I’ll gather the appropriate youth and materials needed to complete the task and then call you back to schedule a time for them to come over and do the work. If you feel lead to give a donation to the church, it will be gladly accepted but, IF for financial reasons you cannot afford it, the youth will be happy to help out for FREE. Please let our youth help you out where you might need the help.
