Christian Education

Thanks to Justine and Steve
The youth of our church and community are year round recipients of the love and ser-vice of Steve and Justine. The Cantone's commitment to our youth is shown through their tireless work teaching and assisting in our Sunday School program, Youth Sunday programs, as well as their support of the Youth Group
.
The fruits of their labor seem to be every-where and we all need to be grateful. We thank God for giving us His servants, Steve and Justine.

THIS YEARS MISSION PROJECT: Group has joined together with World Vision this year for our OPERATION-OPERATION MISSION PROJECT. We will be putting together some beautiful blankets in lieu of a craft for the kids themselves. On the last day, we will make blan-kets so we can blanket the world with God's Love. To the people who sponsor a child from our church...your child, could receive one of these blankets that many of the churches are making this summer at their VBS. How cool is that!

ALL HANDS ON DECK! We still need many volunteers to fill as Station Leaders and Crew Leaders...sign up board is downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Not sure where you can help? There will also be a list of items we hope will be donated to keep our costs down. Also, remember we will have lots of hungry crew members coming from work to man the ship all week long so it would be nice if we could fill the galley with homemade pot luck dinners and desserts made with love from our congregation. We appreciate any and all involvement for a successful HIGH SEAS EXPEDITION VBS "2010" Thank you and God Bless you all, Captain Justine Cantone 253-4311, First Mate Shawn Haskins 284-1029.

High Seas Expedition
Mid-summer brings us Vacation Bible School, our most ambitious Christian Education event of the year. Tremen-dous resources go into this 5-night event which will bring the love of Jesus Christ to as many as 75 local children. Help is needed! Too busy to lend a hand? Your financial gift will help assure that we maximize the impact of this fun-filled program while putting as little strain on our financial resources as possible. We set sail August 8th!

Good Housekeeping
Sunday School Teachers have worked hard to clean and organize classrooms for our children. When using the classrooms for other meetings, please be sure to leave them way they are found Thanks!

Nursery Need:
Loving care is needed in the nursery. Your help is welcome at any time, but we are especially praying that you will be willing to provide coverage in the nursery during the 10:00 worship service on the 4th Sunday of the month. Please speak to the pastor if you are able to fill this important need.
